An Outing with Grandma

The second day of Easter is a red day, a holiday, and we celebrated by taking Grandma for a drive out into the countryside. With the recent warm weather, it seems like all the trees have new green leaves all at once. And there are lots of flowers, too. Which is beautiful, hence the outing.

We went to one of our favourite places, the small marina in the canal close to the locks where the ice cream hut is. Lots of people were working on their boats to get them ready for the season. Me and mum went to check, and double-check, but the ice cream hut simply wasn’t open yet. I can’t understand why. It was a beautiful day!
