? Kestrel in full voice
You would be forgiven for thinking this is a Kestrel singing her little heart out - she is, in fact, trying to eject a pellet. I was puzzled by this "gagging" behaviour until I saw something shoot out of her mouth and hit the ground. It was a pellet comprising amongst other things grey fur and tiny little bones. The Kestrel eats every scrap of their prey, then eject the bits they are unable to digest.
In my extra you can see the rather lovely sunrise we had this morning - I almost posted that as my main photo but I think I have overdone the sunrises recently.
