Short Tail

Dear Diary,

Short Tail is Rosie's nemesis.  The two chase each other around constantly.  I don't know if his tail is short because it was bitten off at some point or if he was born that way.  My chippies are all awake now with our warm temperatures and soon the seed bowl will move to its summer location under Auntie's tree.  The area around the back door is ankle deep in seed husks and Matt will be shoveling them out on Thursday when the spring clean-up resumes.

Today is Earth Day.  I was so happy to see that last week Maine was the first state to ban Styrofoam take-out containers!  A small step but I'm proud my state is leading the way in this.
