Easter Sunday Photoshoot
Elif had asked if I could do a photoshoot for them in the rape seed fields, and we decided on today in light of the good weather. But as Luca has a morning nap around 10am, it was an early start, but that wasn't a bad thing as it meant I could be back home with plenty of time to carry on with our outdoor jobs.
The photoshoot proved a little difficult due to the sun though as Seyran wanted to wear his had which cast shadows on his face, and they kept looking down at Luca which also cast shadows, but that aside we had a fun hour as is usual when I'm with them - they're excellent models and are always really relaxed. There were so many photos though that it's been hard to decide which to blip!
I was back home by about 10.15am and Alan was already well underway with painting the top half of the decking, and after editing the photos for Elif I set to on potting my plants that I bought yesterday. Unfortunately I ran out of potting compost though, so I've got a couple more to do. I then moved onto the front garden and pulled up all the old weed stop and forest bark which was looking a bit of a mess. We've got new weed stop to put down and are having a tonne of slate being delivered on Friday to cover it which will look much better.
The hot weather has been great for the painting as Alan was able to do the second coat this afternoon and was finished and showered by 4pm so we were able to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a bottle of rose. We even ate our Sunday roast outside for the first time this year.
Elif, Seyran and Luca called round a little later as I'd promised to put the photos onto a memory stick for them, and not long after they left I fell asleep on the sofa - all this fresh air and outdoor work has wiped me out, and it was nothing to do with the wine lol!
Tomorrow, we'll put the furniture on the decking, but then we're having a day off before work on Tuesday.
Happy Easter to you all, sorry I'm behind on comments, but we've been a bit busy! Hope you're having a lovely weekend and I'll catch up with you soon x
