A mezze kind of day

Simple. Homely. Nourishing.

I am very thankful for the fact that life’s small plates are, to me, better than any grandoise banquet. Today we:

Made our garden beautiful and a pleasure to sit in once more
Enjoyed the company of cats
Ate simply but very very well.
Played cards in the garden until it got too dark to see what we were doing
Watched Miss Marple sleuth her way to a solution (with a bit of help from Benedict Cumberbatch)
Swapped Easter eggs and of course ate far too much chocolate
Basked in another gloriously sunny day
Went to bed feeling very, very chilled
