Wound up in Wexford

Pittosporum

This is a close up of Elizabeth (one of our pittosporum shrubs), who has suddenly produced these little purple flowers.

Pittosporum shrubs are mainly grown for their evergreen foliage - in the case of Elizabeth, this rather nice variegated leaf, with a pinkish tinge to the pale edges - so we have never noticed the flowers before.

W baked some bread, and a lemon meringue pie this morning, before we had another good day in the garden - much clearing away of pots that are past their best.  I even washed some of the windows of the office.
