Another very warm sunny day.  Managed to get some edging done in the garden and watered the most recently planted flowers and trees.

My phone managed to inform me this morning that it had run out of power but wouldn't charge when I plugged it in. So, back to the rice bowl. I tried it again this afternoon and it charged! I have even been able to send and receive some texts although it doesn't always respond to the touch keys. It does look like water may have gotten into the screen. I will pack it in rice again overnight in the hope of further improvements.
