Chaotic scenes

With minutes to go before the beginning of the service, the church resembled more a sporting venue that a religious building. The bells were ringing out for their first official ring, visitors were scrambling to take photographs and the vicar’s wife was being interviewed. The event had been widely publicised so there were many local people outside listening. It was a great way to celebrate Easter and the congregation was three times It’s normal size. Afterwards, we all went for a curry at the local Indian restaurant.
