Perfect day.
After eating the renowned cooked breakfast served by Angelique and Mr A we visited the beautiful East Lambrook Manor Gardens home of Margery Fish a celebrated 20th century plantswoman. There were a large number of unusual perennial plants for sale and we came away with a number of new additions.
Next, a light lunch at the neighbouring pub them on to the Somerset Cider Brandy farm to have a look around the old buildings, vat stores, distillery and climb Burrow Hill.
The photo isthe makers plate of the still named Josephine and the extra is at the top of Burrow Hill from where you can see a large part of the beautiful county (and swing on the swing)
Unfortunately that was the end of our quick visit to Mr and Mrs Angelique, thank you both for a lovely time.
Forgot to add that we saw our first swallows of the year whilst returning from the Cider farm.
