The Salmon of Knowledge.

After a morning siting in conference I wanted some exercise at lunch time.  So I decided a stroll along the River Lagan would fill the bill.  A lovely day for a stroll and the holiday makers were out in force.  This ceramic sculpture by John Kindness caught my eye.  The correct name I am given to understand is "Big Fish".

33ft (10 m) long and covered in ceramic tiles   The tiles are covered in images and text to do with Belfast's history.  There is information from the Tudor times to the present day and the sculpture contains a time capsule.

The afternoon session pasted without too much excitement and we followed it up with a nice meal and a drink or two.
