NUBIA, Land of the Black Pharaohs...

Today I went to the Drents museum where I visited the exhibition : NUBIA, Land of the Black Pharaohs. The exhibition is about the years between 750 and 664 BC, when the Nubians conquered Egypt and the Nubian black pharaohs ruled the Egyptian empire. This is a statue of the god Bes, who watched over the house and especially the bedroom, where he protected the sleepers… @ Drents museum, Assen, the Netherlands.
