Sheep in the city

Ted Roocroft entered this sculpture into a 1986 competition to recognise Manchester as the world's first nuclear free city. It didn't win, but was still commissioned and now sits proudly in Castlefield Urban Heritage Park. Who decided concrete sheep ate daffodils and dropped some by is anyone's guess! It's within 15 minutes of my office but it took blip to get me there. Where you aim is not necessarily where you end up, but nothing would happen if you aimed nowhere.
