Wallace’s monument

Closed for reburbishment although apparently reopening tomorrow. The cafe was open and a pleasant area to have a coffee, later we wandered up to the monument with plenty to see along the way. Later, onto the botanical gardens in Edinburgh where we had an excellent late lunch before wandering around. Annoyingly the car was parked on a meter on the road, we had two hours and fortunatley back ten minutes early to see a traffic warden closely inspecting all cars. Mind you the Satnav on the car is confusing at times and most of the ten minutes was spent trying to find the local Ikea, it wanted to take us to Nottingham. More reading to do.
