Another tulip

I think it's going to be tulips for a while yet... This one is just opening up. 

This morning I removed some dead or dying bamboo canes and we decided to prune out the bare centre of a daphne, although I think they're said to hate being pruned. If it recovers and looks as if it will regrow, we'll keep it, otherwise it'll all have to come out and we'll re-think that part of the border. The scent of the flowers is lovely, but this particular specimen has become too misshapen to be left as it is.
