Wet wade with willing walker

All that snow has to go somewhere, and in a completely unintended piece of good fortune, we managed to buy a house on a hill. I may curse this fact every winter as the snow accumulates, but it means we don't suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous flooding in the spring.

This year has been bad. Not as bad as 2017 (yet) but the combination of 70 mm of rain in 24 hours and still frozen ground has meant a lot of damage downstream.

Instead of this, Ottawacker Jr. & I took advantage of a brief lull to go puddle jumping. Mrs. O has made the 5 hour drive to her spawning ground, so it made a nice break from Lego and movies.

The extra picture isn't mine - it is from 2017 at car park of The World's Ugliest Building TM, which is a 5 minute walk from us. My camera is at the ready this year in case the doggers/illegal parkers get caught out again. Unfortunately, the floods didn't wipe out the monstrosity of a building.
