Gone.

This morning we woke up to the scene above with one of our lovely Chestnut trees at the end of our drive no more! We still have one standing but we are rather worried we may loose this one too. It seems that the fallen tree was absolutely rotten at the base. Thank goodness it fell into the field and not the other way where it would have caused mayhem to say the least. We now have to decide if we plant another one, but Chestnuts are very slow growers so it will take far longer to reach these height than we have left on the earth I think!!

Another busy day here with Mr Tbay doing lots of mowing. I love this time of year with the scent of freshly cut lawns.

Farming - Life is about to get busy again! We are off Silaging tomorrow so Raymond was here preparing the forager for the start on Saturday. Two on compost hauling with Rusty Rowing up grass and Mr Tbay on dung hauling.
