Louise & Steve's Wedding
What a fantastic day!
Louise & Steve tied the knot at 12.30 at The Parish & Priory Church of St George Dunster. Lousie looked beautiful in white & Steve was very dapper in his 3-piece Tweed suit. It was a great service, full of much love & laughter. The Vicar was a real character, as they so often are, & as he stood by the twinkling Christmas tree at the front, he exhibited another common Vicarly trait, thanking the big bearded man for absolutely everything in sight! Although I may not completely agree with that, & it may seem a little forced, it did bring a certain pleasance & peace over the ceremony & remind everyone of the importance of love & friendship in life (I wouldn't make a bad Vicar myself by the sounds of it). Old white beard could have showed up for the service in person though couldn't he!? ;)
Anyway, onto less offensive matters. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jen's friends from College & a few of their boyfriends too, & a lovely bunch they are too. It was great to meet them all, having heard Jen talk about them all so fondly, & a joy to spend such a fun day getting to know them.
Following the ceremony the excitable, hungry hoards made our way round the corner to the Tythe Barn for the reception. There were glowing orbs, lavender, fairy lights, ivy, candles all setting the scene of a very individual wedding. We had canapés & drinks & young chap played guitar in a corner on our arrival.
To dinner! Our place settings were adorned with some nice, some funny & some downright obscene pictures of each guest member, & on the flip side, everyone was written a personal message from the bride & groom. We then had a pie dinner washed down with plenty o' wine.
In the evening there was a disco, hog roast & barn dancing, a particular highlight which got everyone up & jumping & swirling around like lunatics! What a way to finish off a wedding!
A wonderful day & an honour to be invited.
Congratulations Louise & Steve!
