The Colors of Summer

This is the peak of the dry season heat. So, just after songkran  'the water festival', marking the Thai New Year [ pi mai  ], people are waiting for the wet season.
The colorful umbrellas serve both purposes. On the one hand, they protect people from the sunrays. On the other hand, they are an appeal to the rain to come.
