Thankfulness

On this Good Friday, I am incredibly grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus made that made reconciliation with God possible. I am also thankful for the reminder this lilac tree gives me. Last year when we were unexpectedly unable to return home, I missed the blooming of this tree. I love the scent of the flowers, and I hated missing them. I don’t think I will ever look at their blossoms the same again. I look at them now with such thankfulness to God for all he has done.
