The house on the hill

I’ve always been fascinated by this house on the edge of the Longshawe estate in Derbyshire just outside Sheffield. Dark bleak and isolated was my memory of it from my marathon training runs many years ago.

It appears to have been restored and it now looks like a pleasant place to live, though the warm spring weather today possibly has a bearing on that thought.
