This is over in Heliopolis where President Sisi resides. We walked past his heavily protected home and then past the larger royal palace, alongside. Needless to say, he is well looked after and life behind the lines of guards in the inner sanctum won’t be bad.

Good to see that the Guardian echoed my views on the latest developments in Egypt re the constitution and the rush to approve it on their front page, today. See link below, if you are interested.

We had a nice walk round this area which is about thirty to forty minutes drive from Downtown. Bought moccasins for me and then had a lunch in an Italian restaurant that didn’t quite live up to expectations . . . L'Incontro.

Now heading off to a jazz concert!
