Santa Maria Island

This is the last island in our Azores adventure. We had to miss it last week as we could not have landed and we headed for shelter.

On our last day before our (probably bouncy) two day sail to Lisbon, we spent a day on this beautiful island.

My blip is of the sandy beach of Praia Formosa.

If I can load them the extras will be Sao Lourenco (a beach in an ancient Caldera) and a stunning flower.

I really want to return.
