Kowloon today

A perfect day to be out and about sightseeing with Sherry and Eileen.

Today the Nunnery and gardens in Diamond Hill was on the agenda followed by Kowloon walled city gardens.

Eileen has been to the nunnery and Nan Lian gardens before but not the walled city. It was lovely sharing it with them both and stopping for coffee and lunch and taking it all in.

A great day out and the Walled City Gardens were super as they took in the history of it and all that Jackie Pullinger did for the people who lived there.

On the way back at Sunny Bay station, we did manage to get a pic of the Disney train.

Back to DB and to get ready for drinks and dinner. Friends have invited us to celebrate my birthday and to get to know Sherry and Eileen. First was at friend Madhu’s house. Madhu lived in Dubai in the ‘80s and Sherry was able to show her some recent pics she took from a seaplane. Madhu couldn’t believe the change!

Then dinner at the Thai restaurant in DB, friend Cecilia wanted to treat us. It was a splendid meal and we really feasted ... big time. What sweet friends. Feeling truly blessed.

Tomorrow ... the big day!!!
