Mount Cook and Mount Tasman
Today's highlight was definitely the helicopter trip up to the Tasman and Franz Joseph Glaciers. Houblon has blipped a picture from the trip. The helicopter seated 5 people and is the smallest thing I've ever flown in. It was exhilarating, I would do it again, but it was a bit scary.
After the flight, we went down to Fox Glacier, where we're staying, and went for a walk around Lake Matheson. This is the lake where a lot of the photos of Mt Cook plus its reflection are taken from. Going round the lake, there were still a few clouds across the mountains, and they were a bit too far away for the little camera. However, as we were nearly back at the car park, the clouds lifted and I got this shot.
Rain is forecast for tomorrow, so this is probably the last time we'll see Mt Cook!!
