It has to be done...

A staple image for the Edinburgh photographer is the long exposure shot of the big wheel spinning and the bus trails lighting up Princes Street. This was my first visit of the year to the Christmas Market only to find that it shut at 8pm - I mean come on, 8pm! Why can't the market be open til 10pm each night - sort it out Edinburgh Council.

I'm already planning Christmas 2014 (or maybe even 2013) when the light trail will be a tram - momentous news that Edinburgh now has a high speed (42mph) tram actually working! Unfortunately that planning may be to waste if the Mayan's have got it right and there are two days of the world left, although I do enjoy that the theory has changed now to the poles shifting on the 21st - hope this is the case as it will all of a sudden become summer and we'll have longer days... here's hoping!
