Ullswater from Pooley Bridge

On leaving Stirling it was drizzly and damp but the weather improved as we headed south until the point that by the time we had reached Carlisle it was sunny. On a bit of a whim we decided to head to Pooley Bridge for a tiny bit of Lake District on our way back and the fact it was only 10 minutes from the M6 was a bonus.

Ullswater looked glorious in the hazy light but everywhere was mobbed and after having beaches to yourself in the Highlands it was all a little too much so we had a bit of a wander and carried on home.
