Christmas in Chinatown
I enjoyed two Christmas meals today: a work lunch at a Spanish restaurant and dinner with Fred's Tai Chi group in Chinatown. I didn't know anyone (except Fred) at the dinner, but chatting was easy and it was fun meeting new folk. One of the instructors showed us a wooden pencil box she'd been given by another of the instructors, who is also an architectural model builder. The box was a thing of beauty - perfectly triangular and smooth, with the grain meeting just so.
We walked back through the hustle and bustle and Christmas lights to the Southbank and the train.
