There are over seventy varieties of apple trees at Priorwood Garden in Melrose so I thought it might be colourful with apple blossom but unfortunately most of them were still in bud.  Among them stands a dove statue with an inscription for Jill Currie who was Guardian of Priorwood between 1948 and 1973.  
In nearby Harmony Garden the Snakeshead fritillaries were looking good among the daffodils.
