Along the Union Canal.

This morning we nipped over to Linlithgow to check out the grebes on the Loch. We did see a couple but it was absolutely freezing with a stiff easterly coming across the water so we beat a quick retreat. Plan B was to check out the bluebells at Haining Wood which is close to Linlithgow. It was much more sheltered from that east wind but the bluebells were not nearly in flower, it may be another week/10days, we shall see. I did find a small group on the canalbank and mixed it in with a view along the canal.
We didn't altogether lose that east wind but the sun broke through and we have enjoyed a warm afternoon. I actually ended up in shirt sleeves!
