Night Vision

On my my way back from a pre-Christmas celebration, I suddenly had a vision.

A sequence of numbers floated before my eyes - but what did it mean? Too few for a telephone number - too many for a PIN. Not a sensible selection for the lottery either.

Could it be a code?
If A=1, B=2 etc we get DHEFG. Does that make a recognisable tune when played?
If it is the number pad on a phone we have GULMS, ITLOP etc but nothing meaningful.

Maybe 4-SALE?

So what do you think it could it mean?
