Bombylius major , Bee Fly .

Having heard a fascinating program on the radio on Tuesday, which talked about the the bee fly, I was able to photograph one this afternoon!

The day started very foggy, until I got to the first customer's house but then it just improved as the day went on.

At the last customer's house I was weeding around some Pulminaria when this little fellow came buzzing around.

RF cooked a lovely curry this evening and we ate it whilst watching self build houses being conducted near Bicester, some gorgeous looking home.
