Crossing

This is the railway crossing close to where I live. Yes, again. I thought there was a certain drama to those blinking red lights and it captures a thought that has been rattlin' around me noggin recently.
It's odd how often I go into work these days tensed for crisis only to be left slightly disorientated when everything goes swimmingly well. And that's been happening a lot recently! There have only been a couple of really bad days in my entire career, so why do those events linger in the mind far more than any success or achievement? The blasé optimism of my younger self? It's around here somewhere....
