Stained glass
Heartbreaking, last night, to see footage of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on fire. Part of the very essence of the city.
This evening MrM and I went to St Mary's Church for what we thought was a performance by the Coquetdale Chamber Choir, led by our friend John C. Not until we read the programme did we realise that it was 'Sacred readings, music and poetry for Holy Week'. Hmmm! The choir sang some beautiful pieces, though. And there's a nice stained-glass window in the church.
Called in to the Black Bull on the way home, and decided that we'd better make some holiday plans for the autumn...
