Going In..........
We went in to Sheffield Children's Hospital with No1 son and Butterfly this morning.
What a place!
Light, colour and shapes are the order of the day (and I spent a bit of time photographing them) and the staff are very efficient, pleasant and informative. There have been regular visits from various Consultants and Surgeons from various departments.
Bunny is getting some pretty powerful antibiotics administered by pump (in the main picture), has had her last cyst dealt with (and sent for 'tests'), stool samples taken (and sent for 'tests') and is now appearing more settled - but may well still be in for another couple of weeks ….. she is sicker then she appears and has potential for being extremely sick for a long time.
With the way Bunny is being treated here by such wonderful staff it is incredible that people waste the staff's time by failing to turn up for appointments. When I commented about the paper planes in inaccessible places I was told that they were the remnants of 400 which had been dropped - 1 for each of the missed appointments ……… in 1 week!
We took Butterfly across the road to the museum for 'an adventure' where we saw some of SWMBO's cousin's seats which he was commissioned to make.
I rather liked the badger.
While Butterfly was building an igloo the song I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass came to mind for some reason.
When we got back to the hospital No1 son went to get a drink for our ray of sunshine ………. Butterfly went to order a caramel latte and a slice of chocolate cake.
