Wonderful day

Serious high winds. Huge swell. But we were safely tucked into the harbour in Velas, on Sao Jorge.

Rain, at times, but beautiful sun and blue skies.

We had a walking tour round this beautiful little town and my blip is of the charming bandstand in the little park.

In the afternoon we retraced our steps (well our roads) and went to a coffee plantation in one of the fajas, strips of fertile land at the base of high cliffs.
