I was up early and, though dull outside, I felt in need of exercise so went along to Waterhead. Didn't take the usual camera because I wasn't expecting any photo opportunities but knew the small one was in it's usual place at the bottom of my rucksack. 

I was very surprised to see these rowers by the lake in front of the Youth Hostel. Got the camera out and found the low battery warning icon flashing, so snapped away until it failed .......... about 10 shots. This is the most colourful. 

Some added colour in the garden too today. Two goldfinches and a male bullfinch.
