The White Hart, Nettlebed

It’s my birthday this weekend and we always go away, and we’d booked an Airbnb cottage but it was cancelled last minute. Luckily we found a hotel that took dogs in the area we wanted, as Sam & Sarah, and said dogs, Atticus and Stanley were coming too.
So at lunch time we headed towards Henley with a few stops on the way and a walk along the river at Hurley. At Henley we paid a visit to Dusty Springfield’s grave and chatted to a member of the fan club who was laying flowers, Dusty would’ve been 80 this week.
We got to the Hotel, an old Inn that has been modernised with the accommodation in converted buildings at the back with very comfortable interiors. The evening was spent in the bar playing games, having dinner and getting just a bit tipsy.
We had a great night.
