Commonplace from a Different Perspective

I loved finding this intricate gate with a commonplace Scottish thistle carved into the stone work above. It's amazing what catches your eye. A worn down, unkempt gate can hold such beauty when you look at it from a different perspective (I thank Marlieske for always opening my eyes to the beauty in dereliction around me). I doubt I would've noticed the thistle if I hadn't been on the search for a Blip. Thanks Tryfan46 for hosting monomonday
