Wednesday: Main Street At Night

K. has gone off to the UK now for Christmas and New Year and tomorrow my Mum arrives so it feels like the Christmas holidays are now definitely upon us!

I stopped off on the way home to take this photo as I have been wanting to blip the main street, Ilica, for some time now.  It is really lovely how all the streets have been hung with festive, but not over-the-top, lights.

I do find, though, that I am really disappointed in the low ISO night-time shots with the Sony.  Somehow, I feel like my compact Canon does much better but I suspect that is me not knowing enough about the Sony.  I actually took this on the twilight setting as the low ISO wasn't doing it.  My mood wasn't helped by a wobbly head on my tripod either!

I tell you what did help my mood though - namely a 7kg bar of chocolate that was dropped off at the office by a contact.  Yes, that is 7kg!!
