Violas
Violas might be about the best value for money there is at the garden centre. These are better than they've been all winter - they don't seem to know when to stop... And they're such lovely colours too.
It's still cold out of the sun, and now one or two plants are showing signs of drought stress, which seems amazing in April. But the wind is very drying and has been constant for days now. I managed to cut the grass this morning without disrupting the robins too much I hope. They're nesting very close to the lawn and are back and forth constantly, so I presume the eggs have hatched now. I guess they realize that we're not a threat, but I'm avoiding getting any closer than I have to all the same.
