Long Overdue Weekend

We have lived in Northleach for 22 years now and this weekend we did two things which, strange to say, we had never contemplated before.

First we 'did' the Mechanical Music Museum. The blip shows a Polyphon (a disc playing music box) playing the Daisy Bell Waltz. There were lots of other very interesting musical contraptions, all in full working order.

Second we joined a short guided tour of the church, learning a lot we didn't know about the stained glass windows and the like. We knew the guide even if we didn't know the church that well.

Why did we do these things? Well we had a visit from an old friend from our Birmingham days. I worked out that we last saw him about 35 years ago. So long overdue activities with a long overdue friend.
