Bird on a stick

After a lazy Sunday in the house, Mhairi and I went to Pollok Park late this afternoon, to play with cameras and practice close ups (see extras, cherry blossom past its best now).

For once, I had my camera in my hand on the right settings, when we spotted this robin in the tree. It even stayed long enough for me to take a few photos. 

The chestnut trees are a good indicator of the seasons. Here's a very similar picture from 2 years ago, with leaves at exactly the same stage as the one in the extra here.
