Antique Graffiti

One of the walls of the ropery is covered with graffiti. If you look close enough you’ll see some of it is dated from the 19th century whereas others are dated in the 1980s. The graffiti is Dockyard workers marking their names and the years they worked in the Ropery. So graffiti isn’t a modern issue!
