The Black Friar

A late breakfast was had today and we only just made the 11 am checkout! We left our bags at the hotel and walked to Bank station and caught the underground to Covent Garden. We had a wander around and had coffee and then walked down to the river and along Victoria Embankment back towards St. Paul’s and the city. I was taken with this curiously shaped building - The Black Friar pub.

We walked back to the hotel for a drink (£14 for a pint and a G&T!) then got a taxi back to Kings Cross for the train home. Posting this from the train- hoping it works.
