Pencil Jam

I love using a mechanical pencil at work and found this yesterday in Kalamunda. The art makes pens and pencils out of local wood. This one is from a Acacia acuminata also known as a ‘Jam’ tree. When the wood is cut it is said to smell like raspberry jam.

Not only a really nice piece to take home with me but it’s a really nice pencil to hold! I also looks a bit like a Harry Potter wand, or I think so at least!
