St John's Church, Glastonbury

Had to go in to Glastonbury today to collect another parcel we'd missed. Noticed that the church was holding its Christmas Tree Festival so nipped in for a look. These are just a few of the trees placed all round the church; visitors are encouraged to write a message to loved ones, either living or who have passed away, on silver stars and attach them to a tree, as you can see more clearly if you go large. Lots of touching messages.

The church was also hosting a community meeting of some sort, possibly U3A judging by the clientele, and there was a lovely feeling of the church being at the heart of the community.

Other than this trip and booking up tickets for Skyfall and Quartet at the Strode Theatre, it was a day from sheltering from the rain and doing some cooking and present wrapping.
