Visiting my great-grandparents
On this partially lovely, spring day, I decided to drive north into New Hampshire about 45 minutes to the cemetery where my grandparents and great-grandparents are.
This head stone marked “Chauvin” is the final resting place of my great-grandparents. I never met my great-grandfather, but had heard many stories of him.
This man was a stone carver and carved the very stone you see in this photo. I have always repeated this story to my children as I know they will never really appreciate that my great-grandfather had carver this by hand, not by computer.
They will never know.
