Workshop

Today I spent 6 hours learning the skills of quilting using free motion machining. This means ( as I learned) sewing and using your hands to move the fabric so you can sew in different directions. I felt very ‘ consciously incompetent’ at the beginning of the 6 hours and not much better at the end but goodness have I learned a lot. The workshop was led by a wonderful lady called Pat Archibald who was hugely encouraging. The poppy is my final piece completed at home and at my own pace. I’m quite pleased with it :)
