Cat alarm

The blackbirds are almost constantly chattering and squawking, as our two cats patrol around their territory. Unfortunately, for all their bravado and good intentions, they have failed in their mission to protect their nest. I found two dead hatchlings outside the back door. But they are still at it, so maybe they are trying again.

This is a bit of an early blip, as we're off the leash tonight with dd out for a sleepover. We're going to New Routes at the Junction, to hear some local folk talent. Hope it's good!
