Lacock Abbey NT (Thursday 11th April 2019)
This was taken in the Botanic Gardens at Lacock Abbey. I'd gone to see the snake's-head fritillaries. There were a few number on display, but roped off so I couldn't get the kind of shot I was after, though I did get a couple of close-ups. As I'd blipped the ones in Calne quite recently I decided to go with these tulips instead. There were sheep and lambs in the adjacent fields. I hadn't realised the Easter holidays had already begun, so it was the opposite of a relaxing visit and I left as quickly as possible.

Timebox - Gone Is The Sad Man (1968)
Timebox (from Southport) are best known for their version of the Four Seasons' Beggin', but had a few singles on the Deram label. They featured Mike Patto on vocals and Ollie Halsall, who wrote this, on guitar. When I heard this on the radio recently I was surprised I didn't know it, but it turned out I actually owned a copy on the album Nuggets II. Originally it was the B-side of Girl Don't Let Me Wait.
